Univ. of Missouri President Delivers Statement on His Racially Charged Resignation

Tim Wolfe, the president of University of Missouri, has resigned today after facing significant unrest on his addressing of racial discrimination incidents at the school. Black students, as reported by Boston Globe, have been complaining for months about slurs and a series of prejudicial incidents around the school, and that the school wasn’t taking enough action to address the issue through policy reform. These incidents prominently included a swastika that was drawn on school property, and students being threatened with pepper spray for protesting. Thirty football players announced over the weekend that they would not play or practice until Wolfe was out, and today, students and teachers were participating in a walkout.
