Trey Gowdy Eloquently Demolishes Democrat-Invited Law Prof Over IRS Scandal

Trey Gowdy grills another slimy character who doesn’t like to answer questions directly, even when they are obvious.

via TheRightScoop

  • B22

An obvious play to the (C-SPAN) cameras, Trey thinks he’s in a courtroom. What a douche.

    • Jake Green

      Troll

      • el_loco_jp

B22 is the douche. As well as a dumb ass, libtard demoncrap.

    • PatRiot

      22–IQ??

    • Sharky

you’re the douche – These lib dems are the idiots – just listen to the answers

      • Henry L

        Correction: NON-answers.

        • Sharky

you’re right – I should have said non-answers – thanks for pointing that out

    • James Maxwell

The Socialist Democrat brought a dunce and Trey dismembered him in public view. If this is a professor of any form of legal matters then God help us if you get one of his student’s
defend you in a court matter. You would be in a hole in the ground and they would build the jail over you. But since you
are a Socialist Democrat or a shill you are incapable of
      comprehending what happened.

      • Seldena

WOW! Great comments and so true!!

      • BlueViolets

I was going to say much the same thing as you. But you did it so much better than I ever could.

      • artarlo1

I can’t imagine the amount of law students he has infected with his so called intelligence

      • sbfla

Someone please tell me what higher learning facility (and I use that term loosely) this man teaches or works at so I can mark it off the list of potential colleges my daughter might attend when she graduates high school.

    • 2Shadow2

Most politicians play to the camera somewhat. The fuhrer himself cannot get in front of the cameras without a teleprompter. Gowdy is disqualifying a Liberal invited law professor so it is known to the world that the guy is biased and unfit. Like you just did to yourself. LOL.

    • Ovomit1

Bird brain 22 …Ovomits left testical

    • oleinwi

So, with your phenomenal IQ and grasp of the law. Please explain in detail and in legal terms how Mr. Gowdy is incorrect in any of his statements. Also, please explain the implications of the law Professor being completely unable to answer a simple yes or no to ANY of the questions. I’ll wait while the crickets chirp and tumbleweeds blow by, as we all know your IQ is below your shoe size. Thanks for stopping though and providing additional web hits to this website, which in turn provides the website with greater advertising dollars, enabling it to become even larger and more effective. Of course, all this is clearly a bridge too far for your intelligence level, hence the fact you posted your above drivel. NEXT!!!

      • sbfla

This happens with any of the witnesses that Gowdy interrogates or questions. They all dance around the question and stammer and stutter like moronic idiots. Watch some of the Issa tapes as well. He is just as thorough as Gowdy when it comes to blasting holes in The lefts defense about the IRS scandal.

    • freebirds

Everyone on here tends to agree that your the issue. If you have any intellect at all you would play the numbers. 100’s of individuals disagree with you. Nobody agrees with you. So maybe it is hard for you to grasp. But your wrong. I know that narcissist have a hard time admitting that there wrong so hence it must be difficult for you, but if I’m the only one saying yes and 100’s are saying no then I must bow my head and be humbled. Just a suggestion there Mr Obummer’s friend.

      • Seldena

        So true!!

      • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

Pure and simply put, b22 is a DUMBO-CRAT.

    • Mr Charlie Chan

I believe the real Douche just accused Trey Gowdy an innocent man just like all dumbocrat trolls always do.

    • http://www.downtoearththinking.com/ Down to Earth Thinking

He is in congressional hearing which is the same thing idiot. it is under oath and the moron deserved a tongue lashing of eloquence ? There will be more going forward and rightly so !

    • PeaverBogart

You are the douche B22. I wish they still counted all the down votes on disques. YOu would have more than you could count, even if you took off your shoes and counted your toes too.

      • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

It is obvious that he cannot count his toes either. he is too busy giving himself a douche bath. hmmmm

        • PeaverBogart

Ya got that right Marine. Semper Fi.

          • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

            Thanks much…………

    • MR AR50

You’re an obvious troll. What a douche.

    • Maryann Joan Perkins

You just can’t stand to see TRUTH . . . to think you have control when you don’t . . . shame on you for not seeking TRUTH.

    • missnellie

And what level of IQ do you have to call this man who is trying to resolve government issues via his legal and appointed post. Issues that should have gone to trial a long time ago. The Cabinet and its tangled webs no longer observe our Constitution.

    • Daniel Gray

he is doing exactly what any attorney would do. Guess you need to remove the suction between your lips and the rear of the left’s stinky rear end.

    • Mac Boy

Did you know, if you turn off your ObamaPhone, and quit drinking
the Kool-Aid, your headaches will stop – and the “voices” will go away?

      • randy63ism

It’s that damned “Leftist Lysergic Lemonade” again. The street drug of choice for libtards everywhere. Anally-injected with douche bag for a quick rush of cognitive dissonance and abject stupidity, of course. Lives are being ruined by the thousands in blue states and beyond. B22’s prognosis is poor. He/she/it is way beyond hope for successful rehab.

      • Gabe T

Yeah but that Kenyan Cword, just so interrupted me watching the Price Is Right the other day explaining how the last 5 and a half years he has fixed so very much and how all the problems now in not passing his bills are all due to evil congress not working with the fruitcake.

    • randolph.poole

B22. No, it is pretty evident that YOU are the douche bag! And yeah, it would seem logical, that perhaps Gowdy is geared for a courtroom environment BECAUSE he was a prosecutor!

    • randy63ism

“Douche?” Stop projecting your attributes upon your betters, troll.

    • Tony

I love the First Amendment. It allows the truly ignorant to expose themselves. In your case, B22, you did it in only 16 words. Nice try.

    • Mr. W. H. Braden

To bad for you B22, to bad for you, stay in Cuba.

    • Truth goes 100 MPH

You, obviously, never had the privilege of cross examining a witness who was lying. Mr Gowdy did what you never could: Talk and think at the same time. PS- YOUR prez blows and so does Holder.

    • Gabe T

A senate investigation IS like e a courtroom you sophist twit! Or is that only in the case of when a DemonicRat is questioning a Conservative — because – as usual – your ONE SIDE notion agrees with your double standard….. OF COURSE!

    • noodles5

      You are a complete bozo.

    • smoki

You and your like could use such a douche on a daily basis.

    • Paul454

Yeah, I suppose it’s irrelevant that a law professor cannot see impropriety in such starkly obvious settings! I suppose now that Obama can feel free to enlist other federal agencies to similarly embrace such prejudicial persecution! Actually, I think it’s not about drama, but instead nipping abuse in power politics by the those who in essence hate our two party system republic.

    • Sicarius Veritatis

Seriously? Trey Gowdy makes this Obama hack look like an absolute fool and in classic liberal fashion you ignore anything of substance and create fabricated and trivial reasons to be outraged? I mean please consider that statement and decide if that was really all you took away from this exchange because if so you should just kill yourself now and forgo waiting for that Kool-Aid you’ve been drinking.

    • Extraordinaire

News flash! A Congressional hearing IS a courtroom!

    • msmotown

Oh and you think that what they have done to conservative and religious groups is right or constitutional? You are probably one who doesn’t like the constitution. So why don’t you move to a third world country? It is about time that someone gets bold with these corrupt liberals! Go Trey!

    • mwl

What the Congressman was getting to is who isthe liar, what he is lying about and how much he will stick to the B/S story. Like clinton and her “fall” that mashed her brains out, or how much she had to panhandle on the streets to get a few meals. or pelosi who cant now whats in the bill unless she passes it first. Even reid has his contention to call out a lowly rancher in a fight against the US govt. Up until We the People showed up.
Like all democrats B22 will believe anything that is told to him by the obama regime and the thralls that align themselves with the lawless dictator obama and his stooges like holder, biden, schumer, feinstein, cuomo, and the socialist propagandist media that storm troops the American people with the lies from this administration.
Remember the bigger the lie the more people will believe in it. Second the democrat base has a ring through their nose and anytime the mass is needed all thats required is a sharp pull.

    • Old Salt

Got a little agenda goin’ for yourself there, B22? Trey showed the commie, lefty Law Prof. up for what he really was…a Cobra caught by a Mongoose and a wussy Cobra at that.

    • Jayne Nielsen

The slime ball Trey Gowdy grilled was playing to Libtards like yourself….the dumb and dumber!

    • AsianAmericanConservative

B22, you aren’t very bright. Of course everyone plays to the cameras, especially the liberals. By the way, you are literally in a courtroom when you testify before Congress. What did you expect? Someone to kiss this professor’s liberal ass? Hey, why don’t you sign up for that? You’d be good at that, douche. At the end, this professor got his ass handed to him, but only an idiot like you refuses to know that.

    • roccolore

You’re the douche who would be crying had it been Hamas-linked CAIR targeted.

    • Kaiser Derden

he should behave like Obama for the cameras … oh wait … he’d have to triple his air time to do that …

  • CaptTurbo

I have lot of respect for Trey Gowdy!

  • Jake Green

    Trey is schooling the “Professor”

  • JimBob

The law professor fits right in with the rest of the democratic slime. Now that we know the IRS a little better, it’s time to abolish it. Many of us taxpayers who once thought the IRS had no party affiliation were grossly wrong. Thanks Lois for revealing the truth to us…

    • Mr Charlie Chan

This professer is as intelligent as the Havard constitutional lawyer in the Whitehouse HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA .

  • gdfairy

Trey Gowdy Is brilliant! He doesn’t back down to anyone regardless of how important they suppose themselves to be!

    • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

      TREY GOWDY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

  • James Maxwell

I hope that Trey Growdy gets the chance to question the occupier of the White House on National
TV without his teleprompter. That would be one of the funnest shows on TV as he ask simple
questions and the occupier would be worse than a deer in the headlights.

    • Seldena

I would love to see that!! obama would s—in his pants!

    • Barbaree

The occupier doesn’t know how to answer questions. He just prattles on about nothing in the few press conferences he gives, and runs out the clock. The lib moderators protected him during his so-called debates and interviews. If anyone had asked him a real question, he would have done an imitation of Jackie Gleason on the Honeymooners – “humma humma humma humma …”

  • krdave

I think that if the Rep. party would rally around Trey Gowdy for President, we would have our best chance of dumping the bunch that is in there now. Why not?

    • Fran

I feel that your comment would be a Great Solution…Trey Gowdy for Pres. Finally someone with a brain who is not afraid to stand for what is right. Cheers!!

    • randy63ism

I will say this. With Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin, an increasingly belligerent China, and Iran on the verge of having nukes, not to mention a world with a growing threat from islam and a porous southern border, it would sure be reassuring to have Trey Gowdy in the White House.

  • The Truth

I believe I’ve found my pick for “Best Elected Official”…..Rep. Trey Growdy !

I watched and listened to him and checked his voting record, for several years now…and…

    I TRUST him !

  • USVoter

Thank you Trey Gowdy for calling out this corruption and not letting them sweep this under the rug. The politicization of the IRS and its use against the Democrats enemies list should be shown for all to see.

  • The Truth

I want to see Trey Growdy interrogate Hillary “Killary” Clinton, The Butcher of Benghazi.

    • gene457

Hillary, Holder, and most of all, Purple Lips. Bring it on!

      • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

After seeing those pathetic irrelevant schittt heads mentioned, I just regurgitated my meal.

  • Stealth

PROOF ‘Liberalism’ is a DISEASE of the BRAIN’….. Unbelievable…. God save ANYone that this ‘so called’ (p)rofessor is ‘instructing’….

    • obozohater

Just think of what this professor is providing to the kids that have paid for an education. Liberalism and Communism. That is the way the scum of the earth will indoctrinate anyone that is trying to get an education. These trolls should be removed and replaced with good conservative professors that are not biased by the socialistic/communistic way of life. Yes what they expel is proof that they are diseased maggots and unworthy of teaching. In addition, they are also members of a union, proof enough that they are communists.

  • Algarmit

Democrats they do not know what they doing…. they are acting by instinct not by being thinkers and worrying about our country..

  • rodstew

Liberals cannot get out of their mindsets of blind stupidity. You know when they refuse to answer a yes or no question, they are going to be lying and spinning. I wonder who this idiot is teaching in “law school.”

  • tins6

We need to clone Trey Gowdy and unseat every far-left nincompoops from the office
to take this counrty back to the 1960’s to undo the damages these liberals perpetrated
onto this once beloved country called ‘exceptionalism.

  • Mr Charlie Chan

Slap his azz down Trey Gowdy.

  • YOLADANE

Tray Gowdy needs to be President ! He IS one of the only MEN in Washington. None of these SCUMBAG LIBS can stand up to Tray. They don’t have a chance with Tray because he destroys them with facts and truth. We could win this country back with facts and TRUTH but the WIMP Republicans are afraid of their own shadow and ALLOW themselves to be defeated. Show these WIMPS how to fight and win TRAY !!!

  • gene457

I LOVE Trey Gowdy!!! He REALLY puts the p-whipped Democruds and liberals in their place!!! And notice how they are SCARED SH*TLESS of him.

Wait until he really lets loose against the Benghazi scandal. And my guess is it will be the last two weeks before election day. They are going to run for cover. It does not take much at all to put the liberal pieces of sh**t in their place.

    TREY FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!!!

    • MARINE SCOUT SNIPER

Can you just imagine, that if Trey had run against dumbobama in the last election. That would have been one big beautiful conflict of the ages. And America would have been saved.

  • Jeff Noncent

This is interesting because we as an American voted people like that doesn’t understand any thing that sad

  • Virginia Cavalier

Is this Democrat-Invited Law Professor someone from Barry Soetoro’s past or simply a subservient someone hoping for an ObamaNation-Future…

  • pittymax

I only wish our so-called President was as smart as Gowdy. Instead, he is just a smart-ass!

    • Combatvet52

      He couldn’t shine Gowdys shoes.

      • Mac Boy

That’s his NEXT job!! after he’s pulled from the Oval Office!!!
        – Shine Boy! ………………

  • Combatvet52

Trey Gowdy go get them, nice to see one of our guys with a big pair lay it on the imbeciles

  • Don Sr.

I’d like to be in every single one of these questionings by Trey Gowdy. I would shake his hand before he begins his questions, I’d laugh every time he tripped up these liberals. I’d shake his hand at the end of the questionings, and I’d snort and root rah rah rah at the end of the part where he jerks their panties down and spanks their behinds….what a guy,,got to love him. High five for real manly men like Trey. The libs can’t even seem to get out of his line of fire once the questions begin.

  • ChicagoThunder1

So far there are two people that I would want for my AG if I were President. Mark Levin and this man Trey Gowdy. In any event if they both were working together on the same team It would be a blessing.

    • TexRancher

Don’t leave out Ted Cruz! He’s fearless as well and that’s what we need in leadership!

      • ChicagoThunder1

Ted’s not the same kind of Pit Bull we need leaders in other places too. But point well taken.

    • ScranunSlim

And don’t leave out Ohio Cong. Jim Jordan for a grilling that made FBI Director Robert Mueller look like Special Agent Frank Drebin

  • TexRancher

Way to go Trey! Keep up the good work. Maybe the Geldings in the House will learn something about leadership because there sure is a shortage there now!

    • ChicagoThunder1

Ha ha bet they have to look that one up. :)

  • SickofPoliticks

I absolutely love Trey Gowdy. One of the most honest, no bull sh!t people in politics.

  • marmo43

demos have very low I Q’s, want free Obama phones and Medicaid cards.

  • Jim53

    Mr. Gowdy for 2016

  • Seldena

Trey Gowdy is one intelligent dude! He twisted the poor professor every which way but loose! trey is awesome in his questioning and I love it!

  • Mathematical certainty

Democratic-Invited Law professor? Another left-wing-liberal-nitwit from, no doubt, a graduate of one of the Ivy League Law Schools that torpedo hundreds of these left-wing-liberal-slugs into society on an annual basis. Mr. Gowdy, you are so far ahead and above these leftist morons: intellectually, philosophically, and politically. Unfortunately, you will never get a straight answer from any of them because they belong to the LOT of brain-dead, one-digit IQ voting population of the democratic party.

  • Puresnow

Trey Gowdy would do the Country proud if he became President of the United States of America.

  • missnellie

    TREY GOWDY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Donald York

The Obama regime and the justice department are doing their very best to make this unlawful scandal go away. Thank you Congressman Gowdy for defending the people, and please, don’t let them get their way.

  • Whatzrname

That old professor and his creepy little voice reminds me of Arte Johnson’s old character on the old SNL shows, the dirty old man. I wish Trey were our Attorney General instead of the criminal we’ve got.

    • Bitter Clinger

The professor was “very interesting, but schtupid”

  • Bee Bee

In our constitutional republic we have not had a dictatorship in 238 years, much unlike countries in Europe. Socialist Democrats and Republicans (the Neo-Cons) want to destroy our constitutional republic and replace it with a socialist U.S. which will then be easily absorbed by a global dictatorship. They are ignorant and worse they are weak and submissive. They don’t have the courage to live as free and responsible citizens so they submit to being controlled as subjects instead. I have no respect for these people because they have no respect for themselves.

  • Mr. W. H. Braden

God Bless our American Advocate Trey Gowdy.

  • conservmrs

Trey is THE MAN!!! God Bless him and keep him healthy and SAFE!!! You NEVER know about these vile Democrats!!!! TREY speaks TRUTH to power! He is NOT AFRAID!!!!!

  • jd1958

    That was a “professor?”

  • Edward Ebersole

Wow, Trey Gowdy asked some simple questions that I and anyone with two sense in their head could honestly give an answer to and this person in question couldn’t even give him a straight forward answer.

    • Harold Howe

Trey Gowdy flat out lied in his questions in what he claimed Lerner said in her emails and who she was referring to.

  • Elizabeth

Bring up Conservative papers. 308 articles of
impeachment that we have that can oust this
piece of crap in the White House. Write your
senators etc. and let’s make this happen.
This is utterly absurd to keep him in any longer
destroying the best country on earth. Might tell
your representatives also that unless he is impeached,
    adios, we won’t pay taxes.

  • http://christianlivingblog.com isaiah14

hey stupid black person, You can’t sweep the deaths of Channing Christian and Christopher Neusome, Laura Burke, Eve Carson, Brittany Watts, Justin Freidland, Jefffrey Babbitt, and Nathan Travsatto either. What about these white people that were butchered by blacks. I am so glad another black dude is killed. It lessons the amount of crime in the street. What we need to do is to eliminate black people, by doing that we eliminate crime.

    • rs1123

Wrong is wrong whether it’s black or white. And plenty of times it IS a white person who’s the victim – but that does not make it any less wrong when it happens to a black, or any other race.

      • http://christianlivingblog.com isaiah14

Yes, but when whites get brutally murdered there is not much said on the news. Channing Christian and Christopher Neusome, Laura Burke, Eve Carson, Brittany Watts, and the others were brutally murdered. Who commit these crimes? blacks did. Blacks and Hispanics do all the crime. That is a given. Yet it is all hidden. These blacks make a big deal out of a black being killed, actually by accident by a police officer, and yet the brutal murderers of Channing Christian and Christopher Neusome is not even national news. Brittany Watts was walking through a parking deck going to her car for lunch when a black security officer walked up to her and shot her in the head. In court he told the judge that he was taught that the white race was evil and were the cause of all the trouble. Even Nelson Mandela use to sing songs about killing white people. A black professor of African American studies at the University of North Carolina goes to all black church’s and tells the congregations that what they need to do is to eliminate white people. If I were to say that or any white person were to say that, I’d be thrown in jail for life. The leader of the New black Panther party stands on the street corners of New York City screaming about how he hates white people, and that what blacks need to do is to kill some crackers, kill some white people. However, nothing is done about it. Blacks are 7 1/2 times more likely to commit violent crimes against whites than whites against blacks.

  • DCW16

This professor has tenure and is living large at some university . . . the man is a DOPE . . .

    Those that can do . . . those that can’t teach . . .

  • rangers53

It’s time the RNC pulled their heads out of their posterior and considered Trey Gowdy for our highest office in this country. The man has gonads – a part of the anatomy missing in most of these “Good friends across the isles” personas walking the hallowed halls of our federal government.

    • Harold Howe

Trey Gowdy lied bigtime in his questions to this professor in what he claimed Lois Lerner wrote in her emails.

And his unprofessional and uncivil badgering of the witness was a disgrace.

      He’s pitiful.

  • Bitter Clinger

The “professor” seems to have perfected “the deer in the headlight” behavior.

  • Spoony

How I love to watch “Tiger Trey” work. I ‘ve named him “Tiger Trey” because he knows how to size up his witness beforehand coming well prepared. His legal expertise, knowledge, keen, extraordinary sense of purpose, is a delight to watch as he carefully slices away the opposition’s defenses and leaves them in a steaming heap on the floor! Wish we had more like him!

  • Hilly

I love Trey Gowdy’s intelligence and the fire in his belly! Wish we had a AG like Trey.

  • Dodobirdee

@ISAIAH…EAT A FAT BLACK ONE DUDE~ETT. UR GIRL DOES.

  • larry

another senile, mindless liberal, filled with nothing but drivel and excuses…

  • Brenda

I feel sorry for anyone studying under this prof. But he does explain why our justice system is so weird.

  • Billy Bob Johnson

Trey (gomer) Gowdy is a complete rube. If brains were dynamite, he wouldn’t have enough to blow his nose. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. PRESIDENT!!!

  • Stan Parrish

Trey Gowdy has always impressed me in how he cuts through the crap and gets to the meat of the matter. In this case I’m not so sure.
If the democrats invite a law professor you have to assume that the said professor is unqualified, brain damaged, or senile. In this case I’ll go with senile.
It was just too easy to tear him apart.

    • Harold Howe

Gowdy shot himself in the foot and lost all credibility.

      • Stan Parrish

The problem I had with Gowdy is that he made that old man look foolish. I don’t like to see old people looking like fools.
You could always say that he volunteered to appear but that doesn’t mean he exercised good judgement when he did volunteer. Especially when he could not produce a reasonably sound argument. I think somebody took advantage of him to put him in that position.

I know Gowdy was just doing his job but still it kind of left a bad taste in my mouth..

        • Harold Howe

Gowdy was grandstanding and trying to make partisan political points, and kept interrupting and didn’t let the witness answer the questions or explain the relevant provisions of the law..

If it was a court of law, the Judge would have censured him for badgering the witness.

These committee hearings are supposed to try to find out the truth…Gowdy was trying to play a political game of gotcha.

As I said, Gowdy lost all credibility and shot himself in the foot.

          • Stan Parrish

While I think we both don’t like what we saw I think it was for different reasons. In a court of law Gowdy would have gone to the judge and demanded that the witness answer the questions. That old man kept going off on tangents. Kind of like when you ask a politician a hard question and he talks for 15 minutes without ever coming anywhere near to answering the question. But the old man didn’t have the excuse of running for office and so he couldn’t get away with political non-answers. He just didn’t have it in him to answer straight. A judge would have forced an answer unless he considered the witness unqualified to give an informed answer or if he considered the question not relevant. I agree that Gowdy was rather aggressive in trying to get an answer but that could be from frustration at not getting any straight answers. The questions were definitely relevant.

          • Harold Howe

Gowdy was asking political questions, not legal questions, irrelevant to the purpose of the inquiry

            .

The professor kept explaining to Gowdy what the law provides, and how Gowdy’s political questions were not relevant, and Gowdy kept cutting him off and asking more political questions not relevant to the law many of which were purely hypothetical and had nothing to do with the real facts.

Gowdy was very dishonest and very wrong about the job of the Attorney General and assistant attorney generals in the legal system.

I expected a more professional and competent job from Gowdy.

          • Stan Parrish

I’m not a politician and can’t really comment on the politics of the matter. Nor am I a mind reader so I can’t comment on the honesty or dishonesty of Gowdys approach. But I am a taxpayer and I am concerned that the IRS can be used as a weapon as it appears that it was. Looking at it from that angle it seems to me the questions were highly pertinent, driving to the heart of the matter, and deserving of answers.

          • Harold Howe

First of all, the entire so-called “scandal” is political. You don’t seem to know that this involves applications from Tea Party groups to the IRS asking to be granted tax-exempt status by the IRS claiming not to be engaging in politics, and that the claim was that one IRS office in Cincinnati asked them too many questions about their activities. This isn’t a question of the IRS being used as a weapon at all. You’re just repeating talking points.

The questions Gowdy was asking had nothing to do with the IRS scandal and this particular professor was not testifying about the IRS so-called “scandal” itself…it was about the legal procedures, precedents and requirements that would be needed for a special independent counsel to be appointed to look into the matter instead of assigning the matter to assistant attorney general in the Justice Department.

Finally, the professor actually did answer and try to answer the relevant legal questions, but Gowdy often did let him finish and at other times simply starting attacking Eric Holder and people in the Justice Dept and demanding that this professor agree with his attacks.

Gowdy is a political hack almost as bad as Darryl Issa and he lost all credibility.

          • Stan Parrish

You and I will never come to any kind of agreement on this. I see far too much evidence of organized criminal activity by the IRS targeted at specific groups and people. No way is it coincidental. The only question is who is responsible. The farthest up that I can see where their is evidence is Lois Lerner. Even a series of convenient computer crashes from the governments computer systems could not eliminate everything. There would be many below her also implicated. They cannot claim they were only obeying orders. That defense has never worked.

          • Harold Howe

Your comment is gibberish and has nothing to do with what the so-called “IRS scandal” is all about. I already pointed out to you what it involves, which is applications of certain groups for tax-exempt status at a single IRS office in Cincinnati.

Do you think Gowdy was asking that professor about Lois Lerner?

I notice you’ve dropped all references to the subject of Gowdy and his questions to this professor.

            .

          • Stan Parrish

It’s obvious you don’t have enough information to discuss this. It is also obvious that you will not allow information, facts, or reality to influence what you choose to believe.

          • Harold Howe

No. My comment relates directly to Gowdy’s questioning of this witness on the video that this article provides. Your comments have nothing to do with what’s contained in that video or Gowdy’s questions to this law professor, none of which had to do with the so-called IRS scandal or anything the IRS did at all.

You seem to think this professor was there to testify about what the IRS did or didn’t do.

            You’re very transparent.

            Ludicrously so.

          • Stan Parrish

That just shows my point about not informing yourself. Lerner invoked her right against supplying incriminating evidence against herself and refused to testify it fell to the investigating committee to find out what that evidence is and where to find it. The IRS claimed that it investigated itself in an unbiased way. The evidence indicates otherwise. When the investigating committee finds records explicitly showing a conflict of interest and outright hostility to the groups being targeted then the findings of Lerners investigation becomes meaningless. This was the target of Gowdys questioning. Not on evidence but on credibility. This is where Gowdy got so upset with the professor. When it was shown beyond doubt that there was a conflict of interest and that Lerners IRS investigation was a sham the professor had a hard time answering yes or no to yes or no questions concerning credibility. All of this should have been obvious to you.

          • Harold Howe

Your comment about Lerner has nothing to do with and is not responsive 5o my comment or the video showing Gowdy’s questioning of this professor, or even to Gowdy at all.

I think there may be something seriously wrong with you.

          • Stan Parrish

I stand by what I said before. Your total lack of understanding of what is happening in current events, your inability to apply logic to said events, or to state and defend a coherent position makes it impossible to converse with you.

          • Harold Howe

Your comment has nothing to do with the video, Gowdy’s questions to this witness or my comments.

There is definitely something wrong with you.

          • Stan Parrish

Let me know when you comprehend English enough to make sense. I have worded things simply enough for grade school kid to understand and tie them in with this video.

          • Harold Howe

Gowdy’s questions to this witness were not about Lerner or her emails, or “current events”.

There is obviously something wrong with you.

          • Stan Parrish

There is obviously something wrong with you.
You assumed it was about evidence. Or at least you assumed that is what I thought.

You assume it is about Lerner or her emails, or “current events”. You assume that I think that is what this video is about.
Now I do believe that you personally are uninformed in regard to this scandal. I sometimes wonder if your not jerking my chain and trying to convince me that you are that uninformed just to see how I respond.

I have stated and stated and restated that this video is about the
“CREDIBILITY” of those representing the IRS. Now this does include
Lerner because her statements showed that there was no possible way that the IRS could be trusted because of extreme bias.
            Try to follow the dialog.
People that said those kinds of things against victims of IRS abuse cannot be trusted to investigate themselves nor can any of their testimony be taken as valid in any way.

          • Harold Howe

Nothing to assume. Your comments simply have nothing to do with the questions asked by Gowdy of that professor on the video and my comments here.

          • Stan Parrish

I really feel sorry for you. Ideology is so important to you that you will attempt to defend the indefensible. The end justifies the means. There is no right or wrong. Only your ideology matters. It blinds you to reality. You don’t even understand what this video is about because your ideology will not allow it.
Well some of us, probably most of us do separate right from wrong. If this had happened under any administration I would be just as disgusted as I am now. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I guess abuse of power is inevitable when political appointments are made for positions that are not supposed to be political. This isn’t the first time and wont be the last.

          • Harold Howe

Trey Gowdy flat out lied in his questions in what he claimed Lerner said in her emails and who she was referring to.

Gowdy asked this question in the video to the professor:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

He was making the point that Lois Lerner was referring to Tea Party people when in actual fact he email had nothing to do with Tea Party people or Republicans or anyone who could be termed a “client” in relation to the so-called “IRS scandal”.

Here’s what Gowdy was referring to:

“During the exchange, Lerner says she is traveling in Great Britain. The name of the person she is emailing with was blacked out.

“Lerner: “I’m ready. Overheard some ladies talking about American
today. According to them we’ve bankrupted ourselves and at through.
We’ll never be able to pay off our debt and are going down the tubes.
They don’t seem to see that they can’t afford to keep up their welfare
            state either. Strange.”

“Other person: “Well, you should hear the whacko wing of the GOP. The
US is through; too many foreigners sucking the teat; time to hunker
down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end. The right wing radio
shows are scary to listen to.”

“Lerner: “Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many assholes.”

“Other person: “And I’m talking about the hosts of the shows. The callers are rabid.”

“Lerner: “So we don’t need to worry about alien teRrorists. It’s our own crazies that will take us down.”

          • Stan Parrish

Assuming again. Assuming you know what Gowdy is thinking is irrelevant. Just the same as listening to hearsay is irrelevant.

Saying 2 rogue agents had the ability to systematically target all those organizations and people is irrelevant and meaningless unless that information comes from an independent investigation with no links to the scandal. That makes as much sense as saying Benghazi was a spontaneous response to a youtube video because that did not come from an independent investigation. The IRS wants to reserve the right to investigate itself. That is nonsense just like the Justice department investigating itself during “Fast and Furious” was nonsense. The results will always be whatever they want them to be. That is just the nature of the beast.

The record is the record. There is no excuse. Lerner did the right thing to plead the 5th and resign. I sincerely hope she was not directly involved but I can’t rule it out since she left her bias on display for everyone to see and doesn’t feel confident enough to defend herself. There is a big vetting problem at the highest levels of the IRS.And there needs to be a big time IRS shake-up.

          • Harold Howe

What on earth do you think Gowdy was referring to in this question to the professor?:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

Either you watched the video or you didn’t, Stan.

          • Stan Parrish

It is my turn to assume. I assume that the investigating committee has access to far more info than you or I so I am not going to try to read somebody’s’ thoughts or intent.
But let us assume that what you posted was the full and COMPLETE story. Now let us change the names of the players but the story is the same. Just using different words.
You are talking to somebody that uses the n- word in a derogatory way. You do not challenge that person for the words or his assumptions. Then you add your own insults even if they were milder than the other persons. Behind you is a black man. He has seen and heard it all. Now that man is facing a trial of some kind and you are in the jury pool. Do you think for one second that that man wants you on that jury? Isn’t he justified in believing you have shown a bias wants you out?
And that is the best case scenario which is never really the actual case.

          • Harold Howe

Either you watched the video or you didn’t, Stan.

What on earth do you think Gowdy was referring to in this question to the professor?:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

          • Stan Parrish

I already answered that question. You are beginning to sound redundant.
But you did not answer my question. Read my last post.

          • Harold Howe

No. You never answered what on earth do you think Gowdy was referring to in this question to the professor?:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

          • Stan Parrish

What part of “I do not have access to all of the committees data” and “I will not pretend to be a mind reader” do you not understand.
            Now try to focus.

Given the scenario I described to you which is identical to the best case scenario you described to me “Would that black man be justified or not to exclude you from his jury.”
I believe you know the answer and just don’t want to say it because it destroys your argument.
And that being the case the line of questioning and how it relates to the scandal is justified, albeit a bit aggressive.

          • Harold Howe

I actually gave you the email exchange involving Lois Lerner with the Lois Lerner email that specifically says what the “obscene body part” that Gowdy refers to in this question to the professor. It is right in this thread.

All you’ve done is prove to me that you didn’t watch the video, or if you did, you had no idea what Gowdy was talking about, and that you are incapable of reading what is posted in this thread.

            Once again:

“what on earth do you think Gowdy was referring to in this question to the professor?:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

If you want to take your time and watch the video again and read the email exchange Gowdy took his “obscene body part” question from, please do so.

If you’re unwilling to talk about the video and what it actually contains, then go away.

          • Stan Parrish

i am bored with watching this video over and over again.
It is not my problem that you refuse to accept my answer.

I am bored trying to talk to a brick wall that cannot process information or answer questions.

          • Harold Howe

You’re the brick wall. I already identified it for you:

Gowdy asked this question in the video to the professor:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

He was making the point that Lois Lerner’s was referring to Tea Party people as “assholes” when in actual fact her email had nothing to do with Tea Party people or
Republicans or anyone who could be termed a “client” in relation to the
            so-called “IRS scandal”.

            So Gowdy was lying.

What is pathetic about you is that the GOP made a huge issue about Lerner’s email to her friend where she used the world “assholes”, which is the “obscene body part” in Gowdy’s dishonest question.

I already posted Lerner’s email and the chain of emails with her friend right on this thread. Would it help you for me to cut and paste it again?

          • Stan Parrish

Oh so you are saying that you have access to more info, emails, recordings, text messages, testimony, etc. than the investigating committee does.
            Well good for you.
You still never answered my question.

          • Harold Howe

I posted them on this very thread. The actual texts. And I told you that the GOP made a huge fuss about Lerner’s use of the word “assholes”.

There really is something wrong with you.

If you are too feeble to scroll back and read the Lerner email exchange which includes the email where she used the term “assholes”, that’s pathetic.

I already asked you if you wanted me to cut and paste them again but you were unable to respond.

            Are you OK?

          • Harold Howe

Are you capable of reading, Stan? Here is the Lerner email exchange where Gowdy got his “obscene body parts” question from:

Here’s what Gowdy was referring to:

“During the exchange, Lerner says she is traveling in Great Britain. The name of the
person she is emailing with was blacked out.

            ============================

Let me know when you’ve read it, Stan.

No more silly games from you.

          • Stan Parrish

Lerner:”Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many assholes.”

“Lerner: “So we don’t need to worry about alien teRrorists. It’s our own crazies that will take us down.”

And of course you see no bias against other political viewpoints at all there.

            Typical.

My turn to cut and paste the question you have avoided..

But let us assume that what you posted was the full and COMPLETE story.
Now let us change the names of the players but the story is the same.
            Just using different words.
You are talking to somebody that uses the
n- word in a derogatory way. You do not challenge that person for the
words or his assumptions. Then you add your own insults even if they
were milder than the other persons. Behind you is a black man. He has
seen and heard it all. Now that man is facing a trial of some kind and
you are in the jury pool. Do you think for one second that that man
wants you on that jury? Isn’t he justified in believing you have shown a
            bias wants you out?
And that is the best case scenario which is never really the actual case.

          • Harold Howe

YOu just showed you’re not capable of reading and that you’re dishonest Stan. I asked you several times who Gowdy was referring to with this question to the professor?:

“Would you seat a juror, in a trial, who referred to your client as an obscene body part?”

            You still haven’t answered.

The people Lerner referred to as “a***les” were the people her friend described as saying:

“The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the t**t; time to hunker
down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end.”

As for the “crazies” referred to in Lerner’s email, she was responding to what her friend described as “callers” into talk radio shows.

The fact that you intentionally took her emails out of context and lied about what she was referring to is truly despicable and dishonest, Stan.

This discussion is about Trey Gowdy’s actions on that video and what he actually said to this professor…not your hypothetical garbage, Stan.

Gowdy was referring to Lerner’s use of the word “a***ole” and dishonestly claiming that Lerner was referring to the Tea Party, Republicans or anyone who filed an application for tax-exempt status, when in actual fact she was referring to people who say

“The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the t**t; time to hunker down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end.”

            ===========================

          • Harold Howe

Lerner tells her colleague that she overheard some women say America was bankrupt and “going down the tubes.”

“Well, you should hear the whacko wing of the GOP,” replied her colleague, whose name is blacked out. “The US is through; too many foreigners sucking the teat; time to hunker down, buy ammo and food, and prepare for the end. The right wing radio shows are scary to listen to.”

Lerner replies: “Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many as***oles.”

Her colleague replies: “And I’m talking about the hosts of the shows. The callers are rabid.”

Lerner: “So we don’t need to worry about alien teRrorists. It’s our own crazies that will take us down.”

          • ScranunSlim

And — like Justice Potter Stewarts’ comment on pornography — you KNOW gibberish because you speak it so much

          • Harold Howe

            You don’t have a clue.

          • ScranunSlim

How can I – how can ANYONE – counter a comeback line like “You don’t have a clue.” It’s not fair though – I’ll bet they called you “Shecky the King o’ the Comebacks” at the shelter.
Now see if you can get a copy of “Roxanne” for your betamax.

          • Harold Howe

Your comment was a silly personal attack that was devoid of substance, as is this latest comment.

Neither has anything to do with Gowdy and his questions to this professor.

  • Stratosåurus®

That professor sounds like the very incarnation of a whiney libturd. Apparently the words, ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ are not part of his vocabulary. Deflection a la mode! I agree with commenters who think getting Odildo the Mad up in front of Gowdy without a teleprompter would be a GREAT revenue generator on Pay-Per-View.

  • Harold Howe

Trey Gowdy makes Gomer Pyle look and sound sophisticated and erudite.

  • Murphy’s Mom

Typical liberal dodge. Only this miscreant “law professor” decided to argue semantics rather than answer any question honestly. If he had answered honestly, he would have agreed with everything Gowdy asserted. And knowing this makes the “professor” look even more stupid.

    • Harold Howe

The question was dishonest and deceitful. Gowdy lied about what the Lerner email said and who she was referring to.

  • CWQ

Now that Gowdy has gotten rid of that hideous haircut he used to have, I can take him much more seriously. This guy is probably the “sharpest knife in the drawer” up there in DC.

  • Frank Provasek

Comparing what Lerner said to what a potential juror might say shows Gowdy doesn’t have a clue. Naturally the accused doesn’t think kindly of the prosecution.

  • sickofthedisciples

wow what a dbag. “you’ll know if i am asking a question, because i will cut you off, when you try to answer it.”

  • Will R

The modern liberal is the most stupid human ever to have lived. Not only is he wrong on everything, he is as wrong as wrong can be. I cannot understand what would make a grown man want to be a girlie-man liberal, laying around expecting his neighbors to provide his support. Sad.

  • hizxlnce

Trey Gowdy is a disgrace to the tradition of the Congress – SHAMEFUL SHAM and a waste of the taxpayers dollars.

  • ScranunSlim

Congress-MEN Trey Gowdy & Jim Jordan are the only Republicans who “get it.” Jordan made FBI Director Mueller into a national embarrassment – no investigation started, no agents assigned, no victims interviewed, this after the WSJ was reporting that the FBI had already said there was “no criminal wrongdoing.” Right — Watergate was just a second-rate burglary and this IRS scandal? “Nothing to see here . . . move along.” – Special Agent Frank Drebin

  • ScranunSlim

20 years ago the SEC told the Republican candidate for senator from Illinois that its criminal investigation of him would all go away if he promised never to run again for political office. That SEC official was LOIS LERNER. From the SEC, I think Lerner went on to sharpen her instinct for thuggery at the FEC before perfecting it at the IRS.

  • denlee

Trey Goudy has considerably more common sense than the majority of the weak-minded good for nothings in DC, including the O’Bummer in chief. He should be drafted for the Republican candidacy for President. Honest, intelligent, forthright, can think on his feet and expound eloquently, loves his country -has pretty much eveything a good President should have, and everything the current imposter doesn’t!
