In liberal land, you hear the term “worker” thrown around a lot. But you never hear politicians or activists describe what types of jobs qualify a person to actually be “working.” Traditionally, the term has been used to describe those who belong to labor unions, which is why liberals and Democrats use the word so frequently. Those unions are a big part of their base. Personally, I have a fun job. But, I still consider myself to be someone who “works” for a living. So, who actually gets to describe themselves as a “worker” and who does not? Dan Joseph caught up with a protest, largely attended by union members in Wisconsin. Here’s what they told him.
