If you’ve got dry eyes after seeing this, you might want to get those tear ducts checked. Melbourne musician Daniel Buccheri gave the ultimate tribute to brotherly love when he penned his best man’s speech for his brother’s wedding in March. In a six-minute video posted to YouTube, Buccheri sings his speech to his brother, Adrian and new wife, Sarah. The couple broke down as Buccheri put his own lyrics to a medley of pop songs including Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, The Police’s Every Breath You Take, and Elton John’s Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King. Buccheri opens with: “I guess it’s true when they say you become a man, when you find the one and take her hand. Lucky for you, it all went to plan and she didn’t say no, because that would be sad.” He then moved on to jokes about their childhood and how Adrian lost his independence when he met his future wife. “Every breath you took, kinda sounded like [heavy snore], so when you moved out of home I thought ‘thank the Lord,’ I won’t be missing you. Then you were gone, with this special girl, I thought you were dead, never saw you again.” Buccheri knew his brother was in love when the dog was allowed inside. “And although you met on the Internet, I know this love is true. It’s enough to let the dogs on your expensive rug and not keep them outside,” he sang. Full of emotion, Buccheri finishes with a return to Sam Smith and an expression of love for his brother before toasting the newlyweds, who are struggling to keep it together.
