Hilarious Flight Attendant Makes Air Travel Fun with Joke-Filled Safety Presentation

This Southwest Airlines flight attendant has figured out a way to get passengers to pay attention to the pre-take off safety presentation: make it genuinely entertaining. Marty Cobb opened her routine by saying she’d had a “long day” and things escalated from there. “My ex-husband, my new boyfriend and their divorce attorney are going to show you the safety features of this Boeing 737 800 series,” Cobb told the passengers, who immediately seemed to get on board with her schtick and start laughing. “Everybody gets a door prize in the seatback pocket in front of you — along with dirty diapers, chewing gum wrappers, banana peels and all other gifts you leave for us from time to time — it’s the safety information card.” Have you ever seen people this happy on a plane?

Why does she have to talk so fast that she is hard to understand what she is saying?

It’s a crappy recording of the dissertation. Either way. she should slow it down a bit and get the comic relief and timing to get those extra laughs. I agree with your on that. I assume a comedian would tell her that advise too.

Hilarious! My observation… this lady is extremely intelligent, well educated, with a comical sense of humor! Southwest, you really have a winner with this flight attendant. She should be elevated to top management, because as a flight attendant she has, no doubt, observed and experienced the best and the worst of the lot, and would provide Southwest with invaluable ideas.

    That was great!
I knew it was Southwest. All the other airlines are grounded when it comes to humor.

Seriously! Too bad there aren’t more people like this in ALL service oriented jobs. They make the world a happier place for sure.
