Clash on The Campus: Inside The Mind of Young Voters (Yikes!)

ClashDaily.com sent one of our foot soldier’s to Miami’s Florida International University to glean from these young voters their views of Obama, Romney and the pressing political issues. What we found was good, bad and ugly. Enjoy.

    “Would you rather be the 1% or the 99%?”

    Depending on the demographic I don’t think they can really answer that question. These college students ARE the 99%, and by that I mean the 99% of college students who have no idea what is going on in the real world, let alone politics. They are so uninformed about issues such as the economy, and they will believe anything that anyone tells them (seriously, a debate between Ryan and Holder?).

    If I had to answer this question, I’d have to be the 1%, based on what I just mentioned above. If you look at my name, you can tell (or at least believe) that I am the 1% of college students who is informed, who has a conservative outlook on the world and politics, and who has the common sense to realize that there are BS questions in surveys like this that serve to make a point.

    -sigh- I hope they get smart about the issues before Election Day (if it’s not too late).

      The old saying “I’d like to see from your perspective, but I can’t get my head that far up my a$$” applies. However every generation since Roman times have predicted doom if matters were bequeathed to the younger generation. Apparently there has always been enough people who actually THINK rather than follow the brain dead.

        This occurs naturally with time. Seems that it occurs just a few years out of college when they have to think for themselves about real world problems.

    The Cheshire cat ……being an ignorant gaffer , Biden, just laughs and shows his white teeth , and constantly interrupts Ryan. Ignorance , is bliss. I was amazed at how civil Ryan was throughout the two hours. The skeletal faced woman was very obviously in the Obama camp.

    We need to make Economics and US-World History Mandatory again!!
    All you parents out there with kids in school go talk to them and see if they even have brain function!!!
    I discussed politics with mine at an early age just like my parents did me!

    God help us if this is our future! These people obviously are detached from the realities of what is happening in America today. They display an ignorance with regard to the policies of either candidate; they are no more familiar with Obama than with Romney. This is representative of the generation that has stated that they have by far surpassed what has commonly become known as the greatest generation. Again this supports my belief that we are in the third ( going on the fourth) generation of children residing in adult bodies! I expected nothing more, but still found myself appalled by the immature display they put forth.

    These people are pathetic. And when the graduate and we all already know there are no jobs so they can live in Mommy and Daddys Basement and mom and dad will have to support them forever and keep them on their health insurance policy until they are 26. These kids need a huge dose of reality, mommy and daddy need to make them join the military if they dont pass classes, drop out of college or dont obtain a job within 6 months after graduation.

    Everyday , on my way home in my city, I pass an MIA flag at somebody’s home. I salute, and pray for that soul. What’s worse, knowing your father, son, brother is dead and buried at home, or not even knowing what happened to him? I pray for his soul daily, and shed a tear once in a while even after seeing that flag for 23 years.
