Obama in 1998: “I Actually Believe in Redistribution”

At an October 19, 1998 conference at Loyola University, Barack Obama spoke against “propaganda” that said government doesn’t work and the need to “pool resources and hence facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution.”

      What folks do not get about Obama is all the free stuff is short term Vote grabs. The end result is not Canada but rather better look at Cuba or Russia two level societies.

    He believes in redistribution of your wealth not his. Look at his and Bidens income tax returns they give next to nothing to chairty and also look what type of charity that Obama supports. If he really believed in redistribution of wealth he would not be so stingy with his. This is like him saying that people making a good living should realize when they had made enough. You don’t see him turning down money. DO YOU????

    Government is Not the answer to everything.
    Redistribution of Wealth is not the answer to ending poverty.
    If I worked hard and made something of myself, I would like to be able to spend my money as I want to. If I want to donate to a Charity, I will. But Don’t Tell Me I have to give up half my money so someone can stay on Welfare, get free day-care, free pre-school, free job training and food stamps with no responsibility to pay it back so others might benefit. I do NOT want My Hard Earned Dollars to go to Someone who Makes Bad Choices.

    It’s amazing to me to listen to 8 and a half minutes of someone talking, or rather talking to hear himself talk. Can anyone fill me in on what the point was that he was trying to make. I may not be the brightest bulb in the box, but for the life of me, he speaks and has a good command of the language, but he doesn’t say anything! Please, help me out here.
