How ‘Pro-Choice’ are Democrats?

The official Democratic Party platform “strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay.”

Reason TV talked with Democratic delegates and supporters at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte and found that most were on board with the party’s strong pro-choice stance. But when pressed to talk about whether or not they were pro-choice in areas of human activity beyond abortion, delegates and supporters seemed less certain and, at times, outright hostile to the notion of increased choice.

It all started when prayer was banned from the classroom. Today shows the effect of that landmark decision. Until we put some kind of Christian class or morality/ethics class in our public schools, we will see that depraved section of our populace increase.

    • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

First amendment of the Constitution. Separation of church and state. You want prayer, keep it at home. Keep it out of the classroom. You want to teach Christian morality/ethics, do it at home. Separation of church and state means all churches (religions) and all states (any public institution). You want prayer in school, then send your child to a private, religious school. There are plenty of them. But keep your holier than thou morals out of the public schools.

      • a Christian

some how the separation has been reverse. It was that the government would have no national religion as England had. It was never to separate or restrict the church in government or school. the earliest school where all Christian and the Bible was ther number one teach tool. It is amazing how the liberals will go to any lengths to restrict and rewrite our nations past

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Read the quotes of the founding fathers. They repeat again and again that religion has no place in government. That America was not founded as a Christian nation.

“As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion”
          - Treaty of Tripoli, 1797

“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between
Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or
his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions
only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that
act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature
should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of
          separation between Church & State.”
          - Thomas Jefferson, 1802

“The ‘establishment of religion’ clause of the First Amendment means at
least this: Neither a state nor the Federal Government can set up a
church. Neither can pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions,
or prefer one religion over another. Neither can force nor influence a
person to go to or to remain away from church against his will or force
him to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion. No person can be
punished for entertaining or professing religious beliefs or disbeliefs,
for church attendance or non—attendance. No tax in any amount, large or
small, can be levied to support any religious activities or
institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may
adopt to teach or practice religion. Neither a state nor the Federal
Government can, openly or secretly, participate in the affairs of any
religious organizations or groups and vice versa. In the words of
Jefferson, the clause against establishment of religion by law was
intended to erect ‘a wall of separation between church and State.”
          - United States Supreme Court, 1947

          • Sue

Not to stop free expression of religion. Forbidding prayer in school or any other building is stopping free expression of religion. The United States was based on Christian religion.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

“The United States was based on Christian religion” Please read things like the Treaty of Tripoli before you make a false statement like that.

          • Ron Bedell

That old man, Benjamin Franklin, said, God rules in the affairs of men. The Declaration of Independence states the phrase “Inalienable Rights.” Inalienable rights are GOD given rights. There are so many reference’s that the Founders wanted America to be a Christian nation and run by Christians.

          • panors77

Even if you WERE to establish the “wall of separation of church and state” IT STILL doesn’t say or require all religion to remain out of the public eye or out of government protocols. It’s STILL about the ban on establishing a “state church/religion”. So……whether you like it or not, the nativity scenes should stay up at Christmas time as well as the minoras.

Ben Franklin and Thomas Jefferson are the two most famous “deists” of the Founders, of which Thomas Jefferson, in writing the Northwest Ordinance to establish schools in the newly founded nation that the Bible and Watts Hymnal would be the two most foremost texts used to teach Character, Morality and language to the students!! Or Ben Franklin who said, “if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His Notice, is it possible for an Empire to arise without His Aid??”
            Get a clue Jackson.
The Treaty of Tripoli was an instrument to make peace with the Barbary Pirates. While the government was not official “christian”, it was well noted that the nation was founded by Christians and our laws were based on Judeo-Christian Laws and formed to protect our particular brand of Freedom and Liberty which spring directly from Christianity.

As I said in another post. If the government specifically allows a religious ideal in the government or school, especially one with a bent to a specific religious belief, then they are in fact establishing a law or respect for a religion. A.k.a. a violation of the first amendment.

Separation of church and state: Thomas Jefferson wrote: ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. If the government allows christian classes/morals to be taught in classes, then they are by association making a law respecting an establishment of religion. Same if it is mandated to have a special time set aside for prayer.

You are absolutely right. The forefathers were escaping the Church of England so they could worship as they wanted and so everyone did not have to worship the national religion which was the Church of England. People need to go back and study history. In those days you were terrorized by the Catholics or the Church of England. That is what is meant by separation of church and state. Keep the state out of religion NOT the other way around. You will see signs of religion on everthing all over Washington DC including the Ten Commandments on the Supreme Court and the swearing in with the hand on the Bible. Amen!

      • Dick Jones

Excuse me for weighing in here. Our forefathers never intended to ban religion from our everyday life but to prevent any one religion from being the “state religion” Please find a copy of the Federalist papers if you want the true interpretation of separation of church and state. I’m not a religious person but, I will defend your right to your pesonal choice of God and worship. If you want to include ireligion in yourdaily life, that’s okay with me as long as it doesn’t cross over into and disrupt my lifestyle.

Was there really a church/state sereration, or is there a State/Church seperation? If someone has a religious or spiritual belief how do they seperate that from their political beliefs?

      • http://twitter.com/ConnorVlakancic Connor Vlakancic

Actually, “seperation of church and state” originated from Popes and Cardinals that had dictatorial authority over government originated civil laws. The teaching of civil authority and moral ethics is appropriate whereever and whenever. Not the brain washing variety, but the Discovery Channel history form. However, holier than thou morals is not appropriate just as promoting unholier uncivil disobediance is defined as unlawful in codified laws.

Well, you are wrong. Congress has prayer before every meeting. I am sure obama will stop that if he is reelected. You are an atheist Spite and for that you will end up with a horrible choice, the first being a personal visit from Jesus Himself and the second choice will be Hell. The visit I am talking about with Jesus will happen and you will be in absolute horror, knowing that your life could have been so much different. And He will come to you and He will say, Last chance Spite. You do not need to reply to this because I know exactly what you are going to say.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Ron, I’m not an atheist. In fact I am an ordained Minister. My title is Reverend.

            I think stupid fits better

          • Ron

That title does not impress me and I say that because I have read your post. As a Reverend it is your duty to spread the word of God (the Holy Bible) throughout the world, in every nook and cranny. I also have a title, it is Ranger. I am a US Army Ranger retired combat veteran of Vietnam.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

As a Reverend I have many duties. One of the ones I feel most strongly about is keeping religion out of government and public education. Why? Because once religion is in government, that means the government has control over that religion. And second, it allows government to then suppress all other religious beliefs as heretical. Do the Dark Ages or Spanish Inquisition ring a bell?

Also the Bible, as taught by Jesus Christ, is not meant to be a weapon to use to convert the masses to the christian way of thought/belief. Jesus taught only to love your neighbor, turn the other cheek, heal the sick, comfort and help the poor, etc. Never once did he call for violence against those who did not believe. Nor did he call for the preaching of the Bible to everyone you meet on the street. Specifically he called for everyone to keep their faith close to the chest and to pray alone, away from the eyes of others. I find it interesting how many people have forgotten those things. And the ones who call out about a “war on christianity” are the ones who have read it the least I find. And they are the ones who need to read it the most.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Also, as a side note. How arrogant can you be to assume you know the mind of a god? Even I don’t claim that level of knowledge.

          • Ron

My one uncle had a last minute visit with Jesus Christ. I will not try to read the mind of God but I have been about the world some. I do think God has one terrific sense of humor to put up with the likes of you. I probably should not have said that but when somebody attempts to change my mind in regards to spreading the word of God, which you have attempted to do, then I shall speak my mind. But here is what I do know; I do not think God is very happy with mankind.

      • panors77

There IS NO “separation of church/state” clause anywhere. It’s about the ban on government creating a “state church”, not about keeping one’s excersize of faith “at home” as you put it. You sound like Stalin.

        • Mike

Sorry but there was no intention of having god in schools. And those that say this is a Christian nation, should look up the treaty of tripoli. Washington stated that was in no way shape or form a Christian nation or founded onchristian principals. It was founded on the principals of conscience which existed long long before Christianity according to the author of the bill of rights Jefferson. If ppl would look at the first amendment as it was written in old English and not modern English they would see it has several meanings as old English statements were an idea or set of ideas written in as few words as possible and as an educated language an educated man would be able to decipher the ideals within the words You cannot decipher the constitution in its entirety using modern literal English. It not only separated church and state but also church and decisions or morality. This why the bill of rights was not based upon the ten commandments and the bill of rights and several rules within the constitution are contradictoryto the bibles teachings. The founders were very deliberate and decisive about wordings to ensure a secular state and country. And the federalist papers are merely an example of a form of government that failed and they wished to correct so it is not a reference of what they intended to achieve with the new republic

          • Mike

As well they are not god given rights that was never used. It was very specifically worded creator. And for an atheist evolution or survival of the fittest would be their creator as nature. The word God was never used

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Frank-Davis/1703670660 Frank Davis

Maybe you should read Brad O’leary’s Book, GOD AND AMERICA’S LEADERS. A Collection of Quotations by America’s Presidents and Founding Father’s on GOD and RELIGION. I presented my County library with a copy of the first text book in America. The New England Primer. The McGuffey’s Readers 1-6 and The Blue Back Speller. Do a little research on these books. As God was the basis for our government and country so is he the basis for these textbooks. It was the Supreme Court that took it upon themselves to declare otherwise. “Indeed, i tremble for my country when i reflect that God is just.” Thomas Jefferson.

      • Justme

First, do you have children? Have you taught in our public schools? I have. You have no idea how children act today in a “non-moralist” manner. We have a whole generation of kids who don’t have parents to teach them “at home” and it’s not because they are all poor. Some parents are too busy working and buying them “love”. I had one parent (who had a nanny) say to me: “Me stay home with my kids? Bite your tongue!” She and her husband made well over $100,000 a year and bought their kids everything their little hearts desired.

Why do you think teachers should have to teach about homosexuality in school and about abortions if “they” don’t believe in either one? You can keep these out of the schools too! Some children could use more God in their lives.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

It is the job of the parents to instill God in them, whatever that God may be. Not the job of the school.

          • Justme

But it’s okay to teach homosexuality, how to wear a condom and how to get an abortion when a child gets pregnant? Where I taught in CA, schools had to provide a nursery for the babies, too, at taxpayers expense. This is okay but God isn’t? Liberals make no sense when it comes to “critical” thinking.

          • BOOMER8

Liberals “think” that critical thinking is the same as criticism.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

If children are taught proper/factual sex education at home, it would not be required at schools and also would drastically lower the number of teen pregnancy’s and STD transmission. For reference, please look at the Netherlands and their sex education. You will find on a per capita basis their pregnancy and STD rate is massively lower than ours.

          • Justme

The Netherlands do not have illegals crossing the border by the thousands who believe lots of kids is the way to go (this IS taught at home). They inundate the schools in CA and kids make for more welfare money. BTW that state is bankrupt.

You contradict yourself. You are asking me to check out Netherlands sex education. If this is an organized program, then it isn’t done in the home and who pays for it?
Sorry, Spite, you haven’t a clue what it is like in the real world unless you “live” it.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

And you apparently prefer living in a fantasy land where you can do nothing to change the world, and just like yelling at all the things you find wrong.

          • Justme

Nobody is yelling about anything…just the facts. If you want to turn a deaf ear to what is really happening from someone who has seen it and lived it, then that is your prerogative. What is your answer to my questions? Temper tantrums have never been permitted in my classes. Who pays for this program you think should be taught at home?

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Who pays for it is up to those people who choose it. Personally, as long as the sex ed program is teaching facts, and not things like abstinence only (which has been proven to not work for educating kinds and preventing teen pregnancy), then the school can do it. However I plan on teach my children myself all that I know, and all they want to know, just like my parents did. No shame, nothing dirty about it. Just a fact of life.

          • Justme

Good for you. You still want me to teach pansexuality in the schools though. Where is my right to say no? If you are so good at teaching deviancy and have a couple of degrees in psychology perhaps you can set up office and teach it.

If the schools didn’t have to do everything, we could get back to academics and bringing our kids up to the level of education that is expected. Here are teachers’ duties regarding sex alone:

Kids can get an abortion without parents consent (on their own!) we have no right to inform the parents. Parents come to school raging mad because they were not told. We can not inform another kid if she is going with someone who has AIDS (this is the law). Birth control doesn’t always work or prevent death and STD’s. We have to take care of incest cases and work with the police if we see bruises, drugs or guns.
Regular health classes have been teaching the facts about the body and how it functions since I went to school as a student. Bet your children could tell you a few things. But now, every teacher has to get involved with all the deviancy going on today. You may call it “normal” but I don’t want to teach it!
Abstinence will look pretty good to your children if you let them see a birth (with sound), let them talk to a full-blown AIDS patient and see the sores all over his body, let them watch an abortion how it is sucked from the mother. Let them see a long-term abortion and how they kill the baby afterwards. I suggest you “show” your children…not tell them.
The schools are not institutions of sex-teaching, they are institutions of learning and it is about time they are permitted to do so.

past due to fire the public schools.

You are so wrong about this amendment. It is not about separation of church and state. It was included so that there would be no state religion. This was the reason the Pilgrims came to this country. They did not want to belong to the Church of England as ordained by Henry VIII. You need to read and understand the Constitution rather than repeating the mantra that is getting very old and tiring. There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents prayer or the reading of the Bible in public schools.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Would you have a problem with the Satanic Bible being read in schools? Or the collected works of Le Vey? Or how about the Hindu Veda’s? Or prayers to the beings or Gods mentioned in those works?

      • Chief Bill PFD #9

You are wrong, wrong, wrong. The First Amendment of separation of church and state was to keep the U.S. from doing as England did and selecting a state sanctioned church. The 1st amendment has been bastardized to fit the liberal agenda.

      • Mike S.

I see two problems: first, why is the federal government regulating schools anyway. That should be an individual State function. Second, when we deny anyone access to practice religion in schools, we essentially force a new religion: Atheism. Atheism (or whatever religion you call “no-religion’) is the now federal religion. Separation of church and state would mean that the government should not force or deny someone from practicing a religion.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

People can practice whatever religion they wish. However when a practice is mandated by a public school, it steps over the bounds. When my child goes to school, I want them to learn. They can pray whenever they want as long as it does not disturb the learning environment. But I do not want a school setting aside a “prayer or whatever” time. That is not the school’s job. If you want your child to have a special prayer time, then send them to a private institution that agrees with your religious beliefs. But keep it out of the public school system.

ove when I was in school, why? Because kids were taught morals, if
you had a problem it was settled with the fists not a gun or a knife
and you must like what our kids have become because you don’t want
them taught morals at school were kids learn from their pears and
refuse to lesson to their parents because at school they are told
they don’t have to and parents are told punishment should not hurt
and you should only talk to them, will guess what talking does no
good, you take a privilege away and the child tills you were you can
go and the laws allows kids to get away with it. I am thank full my
kids are all grown up, I have one child who is lazy and bad moths
everyone, why because when I used the modern day way of parenting it
did not work and when I slap her for back talking, which came after
trying everything in the book for modern parenting, and the law said
I had no right to slap her for any reason and look at her a drain on
our society, I won’t support her she is almost 27 this is your world
of government that allows people to be lazy and told at school they
can do anything they want and parents are wrong about God.

        • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Again, not saying a student cannot pray/read the bible/whatever. All I’m saying it that the school should not mandate a prayer time, or anything of that nature. Also we should take “under god” out of the pledge. Why? Because it was only added in 1954 to combat the “godless communist threat”.

Now getting to some specifics of your statement. Now I’m reaching here and if I am wrong please tell me.
You say that schools should not be teaching evaluation. I’m making the assumption that you mean Evolution? If that is the case, then please explain what the problem is with teaching the most evidence backed theory as to how life started and formed to become us? And before you say “because it’s a theory” or anything along that nature, remember, Gravity is still a theory.
As far as sex education and handing out condoms is concerned. What is wrong with it as long as it’s factual? You may disagree with sex education, and that’s your prerogative. In which case teach your child your version of sex education before the school, or forbid, their friends tell them all the wrong answers, like “You can’t get pregnant if you have sex in a hot tub”. Yes, I’ve known people who actually believed that last statement. You can understand what happened next.

Now I know you’re going to love this next statement and are going to spend all day tearing it apart. If you have someone who is going to have sex, would you rather them be protected from diseases and pregnancy, or just throw caution to the wind and let prayers keep them from catching something/becoming pregnant?

They reason our kids are out killing each other is due to parents not being a proper influence in their lives. Too often parents hand children off to schools, or other institutions, but give them no input themselves. The parents are too busy, or are just bad parents, to actually raise their children properly. This leads to them learning by example, and also to them getting all kinds of bad information from bad sources. Guess what, the TV is not a babysitter. There’s an old saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” We’ve become too insular.

I don’t know what school you went to, or when, but I was aware of all these issues in mine. I will admit that I was the most sexually educated. Why? Because as soon as I hit puberty my parents taught me. They didn’t teach me abstinence, or that sex was evil/bad. Nor did they say that god would punish me for having sex with anyone but my wife. They taught me the facts, and allowed me to ask any questions I had. They were not embarrassed and were completely open with me in regards to the subject. I saw several pregnancy’s while I was in school. And all of them could have been negated if they had simply used a condom. They had been given the wrong information.

As far as an outlet for violence, I’m a fan of the old Jesuit schools. If two kids had an issue that could not be resolved, they both stepped into a boxing ring, strapped on gloves, and went at it. We’ve become so very scared of any form of aggression that we punish even the smallest display. However, this does not mean that I do not recognize bullying, or the problem it is. But when parents/teachers are informed of the problem and nothing is done, what is someone who is basically being tortured day in and day out to do? This issue needs to be addressed.

I have no problem with children learning morals in school. But I do not want them necessarily learning christian morals. Just as I do not wish them learning jewish, or muslim, or hindu morals. You can teach morals without having religion involved. There is no need to scare people by saying “If you’re bad, the big man in the sky will punish you by an eternity of burning alive”. Honestly that scars kids more than helps them.

I was corporally punished as a kid. I have no problems with it. However I have also seen some kids who were raised in 0 corporal punishment households. Guess what, they appear better adjusted than we are. It remains to be seen how it will pan out in the long run, but I think both methods have their merits.

I believe that the government should take care of it’s populace. The greatness of a country is measured on how it cares for it’s least, not for it’s most. A.k.a. how it cares for it’s poor, and sick, not how it cares for it’s well off. The well off can take care of themselves without issue, the poor and sick and homeless need our help. If you are a true christian, then you would be doing all you could to help those. That is what Christ called for after all.

One major problem with our education system is the idea of “No child left behind”. The idea that children cannot fail, that they all get trophies for just showing up for the game. This needs to end. Back in my day if you failed, you failed. You might have had to repeat the class or the grade. If you lost the game, you got a handshake from the other team, and a talking to from the coach about how to beat them next time. I’m tired of the coddling that has happened to the children of this country.

that’s NOT in the First Amendment at all! It ‘s a construction from the 1947 Everson decision with atheist Hugo Black making the anti-religion case. A woman’s right to choose to have an abortion is wildly different from choosing to poison yourself, or pollute the environment.

    • rwgadvise

promiscuity is not a bad choice??? sexual irresponsibility is not a poor choice??? get a clue…

      • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Promiscuity is not a bad choice, as long as safe sex is practice. Not practicing safe sex is a poor choice. And how does a woman’s ability to choose an abortion if she wants one equal to promiscuity or sexual irresponsibility? What about a child who will be born horribly deformed, or will die minutes or hours after birth due to defects or genetic issues? What about a woman, who was a virgin, and is raped? And then becomes pregnant because of that rape? Please tell me what is promiscuous or sexually irresponsible about that?

        Please, try harder next time.

        • VINCERE

I know several. There’s one who’s 16, almost 17, and is a virgin. She hasn’t even dated yet. And it’s not because her mother is a good christian women. Her mother is a pagan witch if you must know.

          • Mike S.

I know quite a few. In fact I would say more than half of women I interact with are still or were virgins till marriage.

        • savetheusa2

The only safe sex is abstinence. Condoms leak, pills are forgotten, and having sex with someone who is promiscuis means you are having sex with a lot of people (she or he had sex with). Having an abortion can be very irresponsible if someone doesn’t use birth control and uses abortion as birth control. I know a few girls who have had five or six abortions. Some make women sterile. Many women get depressed. There are other solutions. They have proven some unborn babies suffer pain during an abortion, after all many are ripped apart and stabbed in the head. It is a terrible way to kill SOMEONE who has no voice! They can’t tell us.

          • panors77

And also now we have Sandra Fluke who is demanding the Catholic Church at government gunpoint provide her with free birth control.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

If any church or religious organization hires people outside of their own religious belief, they are then subject to employment law.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

“The only safe sex is abstinence.” Incorrect. Abstinence is the lack of sex, so the very semantics of your sentence is incorrect. Using contraceptives is a safe and great way to prevent pregnancy. If you double up, say the pill with a condom, it’s as close to 100% as you can get. If it’s some of the experimental methods that are in testing now, it is 100%.

However here is something that most people have conveniently forgotten. Abortion has been around for thousands and thousands of years. Before medical doctors and clean labs, and before coat hangers, there were herbs and teas. There are many herbs that can be used to prevent pregnancy, or cause the body to abort a pregnancy. You take this mixture, it sucks for about 3 days, then you are fine. Were women who did this procedure hailed as murders? Were they hounded out of town for killing the innocent babies? No. The people who handed out these teas and herbs were the local medicine men and wise men/women. They were who you went to for cuts and bruises and broken bones and all the other things. It was an accepted part of the culture, and has been up until the last 100 years or so.

You are a women, you have a husband, you live on a medieval farm. You have 5 kids already and you make enough food to feed yourself, your husband, and your 5 kids. But if you have a 6th, then someone is going to starve. Well you get pregnant. So what do you do? Do you say “well sorry child number 1, we love you, but now you’ve got to starve to death because of this new life we’re bringing into the world”? No, you go down, get the herbs, and deal with it. It was and still is a part of life. And no one should be allowed to take that choice from women.

People on here will bring up the bible. Well if you do I challenge you. Show me one passage that explicitly brings up abortion and that it’s wrong. And I mean explicitly. Don’t say “well they’re saying this, but they mean abortion”. No. The bible specifically lays out things like, murder, adultery, theft, lying, disobedient children, etc. Show me the one passage where it is specifically mentioned and condemned.

          • savetheusa2

Spite: do you consider your life valuable? Are you glad you are alive? Do you really think that God our Creator wants even one of His littlest to be destroyed? I have a few passages that show God values and loves every single one of His children whether in the twinkle of His eye before they are born until death at old age. God has NO agenda on this earth except when His son was born, suffered crucifixion, died and resurrected for EVERY ONE of us. By this act he opened they way to Heaven, and the three years He was teaching, preaching, healing, and turning sinners around was important to show us how and the way to salvation.. He wanted to show us that love is the answer and faith in Him would save us – just like those who have nothing, pray to Him faithfully and then received money or help., most of the time in unexpected ways. The problem is we don’t pray, we don’t love Him and we turn our back on Him. We are selfish. That is why we have abortions, cheat, and do other sins. Murder is the direct intention of denying life to ANY human being no matter where he/she is or in their development.. God thought that placing them next to the heart of their mother would be a safe place. This shows to me that he intended all to be born. It’s pretty bad when someone like you needs to see the exact words in the Bible. Just because the world has resorted to killing their babies doesn’t mean that God intended us to be committing this terrible act. Even a four year old can tell you that.
“Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?”
            Job 31:15

“Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother’s breast. From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God”
            Psalm 22:9-10

“And now the LORD says—he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength”
            Isaiah 49:5

            “For you created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
            I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
Your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be”
            Psalm 139:13-16

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

And yet none of those passages states a condemnation of abortion.

        • panors77

What about a woman that just wants to use abortion as birth control and has several annually? What about 9th month abortion? Killing the “fetus” who’s survived an abortion? Your side has a lot in common with Hitler and Stalin on this issue.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Show me actual documentation of women out there who use abortion as birth control. Seriously. Because I’ve known none. Partial birth abortion is the only way, in certain few cases, where the baby will die within a few hours of birth anyway, or have a lifetime of pain and suffering (that cannot be detected until late in the pregnancy), and can also maintain the fertility of the mother.

          • savetheusa2

Well, I know a few but I am not about to tell you their names. I am sure Planned Parenthood could tell you, but that is their bread and butter. I doubt they will tell you. Women who do this probably wouldn’t volunteer to be in a study. Most partial-birth abortions are not necessary. I read the court transcripts from a trial about partial birth abortion. These doctors would not explain what they were doing and after the nurse put a little bonnet on the bab, had the mother hold the baby and they took pictures. When I read that I thought I would be sick. The procedure is to give them a drug and wait a few days before she starts to be ready to have the baby. They deliver the baby feet first, and right before the babies head emerges theyt stab the head with an instrument like scissors. They put a tube in the head and suck out the brains. Before they stab the baby, its legs can be kicking wildly and this baby can be very alive. This is so unnecessary because if it were an emrgency the baby would be scheduled to be delivered by caesarean. This is outright planned premediated murder. The child suffers terribly. Spite, you are heartless. Have you heard that a girl was born alive from a botched abortion? Who are we to take a babies life? Aen’t we supposed to be protecting life? The democratic party is in the hands of Satan and George Soros.

        • Justme

Spite: Promiscuity is not a bad choice as long as safe sex is practiced? You have the morals of an alley cat no matter whether you use condoms or not. You said you were going to teach your kids at home all about sex. Is this what you are going to teach your kids? You also want schools to take on the job of teaching sex. It must be hard for you to distinguish REAL love from promiscuity. You are not a reverend, so you can stop all the foolishness. Good Bye!

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Sex is a gift. It is not something to be guarded like a candle in a strong wind, but shared wisely and safely with those you love. Love can come and go. People who are great together for a year or two might not be great together in a marriage, or even after that year or two. Who are you to judge what is love and what isn’t?

I’d show you my credentials but you wouldn’t believe them anyway. Also schools have already taken on the job of teaching sex. They are doing a better job of it now than a decade ago when abstinence only was the highlight of the day. Thankfully more schools are switching to a fact based education of sex, rather than one that is aimed at simply scaring kids into obeying.

And yes, I will teach my kids exactly what I’m saying on here. I will teach them the facts, I will teach them to practice safe sex. I will tell them of the dangers, but also the wonders. it’s what my parents did for me, and you know what? Unlike some of the kids who were brought up in strict religious households that either didn’t get taught about it, or were taught the wrong things or just plain lied to, I have never gotten a woman pregnant that I didn’t mean to.

          • Justme

The schools are not institutions of sex-teaching, they are institutions of learning and it is about time they are permitted to do so.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

If parents aren’t going to do the job, and do it right, someone has to. And before you jump on me about “who are you to say what’s right”, let me give you an example. How about a girl has sex with her boyfriend in the hot tub. And is later surprised that she’s pregnant because her mother told her that you can’t get pregnant if you have sex in a hot tub.

You want to take sex ed out of schools. No problem! As soon as there exists an alternate institution to teach kids factual sex ed then I say remove it from the schools. But until then keep it there. Because it’s better than ignoring it.

When government promotes abortion of course they will promote it isn’t bad for you. Promiscuity causes many maladies including cancer. It is why we as a society are seeing more problems in females including infertility.

          • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

You are falling victim to a logical fallacy. Just because some women get breast cancer, or any cancer after having an abortion, does not mean that the abortion caused the cancer. That would be akin to saying “Well everyone who drinks water dies, so water must be killing everyone.”

    • Mike S.

Yes abortion vs pollution/environment are different, but tell that to the un-born child.

    • savetheusa2

In two cases both die and in the third no one dies. I don’t see much differencein the first two cases. A human being is denied to live and the other doesn’t know how lucky he is because his mother let him live.

This is the result of public school liberal socialist communist indoctrination over the last 50 years. Go to college, you will be indoctrinated by your liberal and Marxist, (Like the current President), professors. This is why the college educated are so liberal. They were indoctrinated, just like Obama and his mentors and college professors at an early age when they were so impressionable, or able to be indoctrinated. Not brainwashed, but indoctrinated. The clues at the DNC were seemingly ominous. Compare them to the bible!

Just as Peter denied Jesus three
times … so too did Obamas administration deny the insertion of
“God” in their platform THREE times! Notice that the ‘nay’ votes were
    just as loud & ignored!

The exclusion of the word: ‘Jerusalem” brought the biblical verse of
    Genesis 12:3 to mind.

God cursing those who cursed Israel
& blessing those who blessed Israel!

Did the exclusion of Israel’s capital a diss against Israel? Maybe.

Obama is a charismatic man, well mannered, well liked, educated, great dresser,
great orator … the perfect guy a young lady would be only too happy to bring
home to mom & dad, right?

    So was Ted Bundy!

Consider Obama … a Trojan Horse. Dont buy into his outward countenance &
    persona.

    So again …

Be an INFORMED voter … watch the movie: 2016!

Didn’t Ronald Reagan say: “Trsust …
    but VERIFY!”?

    Then watch the movie: 2016

They are fine with pro choice as long as they are the ones making the choice for themselves and you !!

  • REVDR

These people are absolute idiots all of them.

  • ARMYOF69

PRO CHOICE? I am very pro choice….I insist that no unborn human beings be murdered , FOR ANY REASON. But it seems on ” LIBERALS” may be pro choice. They WILL find that eventually, they shall be in the company of the devil himself, in a really warm place, with no water.

Only at the DNC could this many stupid hypocrites be found in one place

  • Ron

Spite. You said, “Keep your holier than thou morals out of the public schools.” That is why I think you are an atheist. If you really are a reverend then you should be seeking out spreading the word of God, throughout the world in every nick and corner. So you have a title. Well so do I. It is Ranger. I am a US Army Ranger retired combat Veteran of Vietnam. Before you make any stupid comment about that, I will impart that I already have my reservation in for God’s Heaven and I have received my confirmation.

And I believe the way to paradise is more difficult than just saying a few words. It’s also about living a life as an example to others. Christ didn’t go around beating people over the head with the bible and saying “If you don’t follow me, you’re going to burn forever”. That’s very old testament stuff which he overturned according to his own words.

Thank you for serving our country. However, remember this. Just because I do not happen to fit into your narrow definition of how a Reverend is supposed to act, does not mean that I am somehow an atheist. However on that note I have seen many atheists that that act more Christ like than many of the christians that I have known. In that light, guess who I think will end up in paradise.

    • Justme

I can’t figure out what kind of reverend he is either!

  • Luong the Viet

Demon-Rats are nothing but a bunch of brainwashed hypocritical fogheads, end of story. I picketed the DNC in Charlotte, NC with 12 other Christians and we heard and saw nothing but these morons who don’t even make any sense.

who is that being interviewed “Cindy Lauper”

  • Strait Arrow

My husband and I went to see “2016, Obama’s America.” If you haven’t seen it, GO SEE IT! His main mentor when he was a young teenager was a Communist named Frank Marshall Davis who was a journalist from Chicago. This man moved to Hawaii and was under close watch by the FBI. He was considered dangerous in the eyes of the FBI. Davis and Obama did drugs together. His grandfather and his mother were communist sympathiser. It is such an eye opening movie. I can not believe the power this man has! What was even more unbeleivable is that he was never vetted before he ran for office. Everything is documented and a lot of it comes from his own book “Dreams From My Father.” The key word in his title being “From.” I don’t think the liberals or progressives have the courage to see this movie unless they want to cheer him on! Most Dems are just plain ignorant and or just don’t care. No wonder they wanted to leave God out of their convention. No wonder they promoted abortion so strongly. Margret Sanger, a Hitler sympathizer, started Planned Parenthood. She wanted to create a superior society (or white race) and do away with blacks, minorities, the disabled, the disenfranchised, and the poor. In movies Hollywood made her to be some sort of hero to women. in the 1930′s when abortion was illegal. WRONG! It is all is starting to make more sense now! Communists and Muslims do not tolerate homosexuals either! Once they have used you they will chew you up spit you out. You need to get smarter and realize this and quit being idiots. You will be one of the first ones with your heads chopped off! Talk about intolerant! Show me a Communist or Islam homosexual. If they are around, it won’t be for long.

These are the light bulbs of the DNC.

  • Doski

Slow the Waste of taxpayers money by making it Mandatory for any woman/couple who Can’t afford an aborting (Except for Rape Cases, W/ Filed Criminal Charges) to have her tubes tied. Upon her/their acceptance of responsibility via Self-support she/they can have it reversed at their own expense. This way the TAX-PAYERS are only stuck paying for ONE abortion per Irresponsible NON-Taxpayer/ NON-Mother. No more “Fluke” second pregnancies requiring second abortions.

Same Prices should be extracted for Welfare Pregnancies, Maximum 1. NO Ability to pay, No Second Pregnancies allowed . . . . Period. Time to stop the Merry-Go-Round !

  • http://www.facebook.com/spite.hammer.9 Spite Hammer

Roe v. Wade was not the beginning of abortions. It was the end of women dying from them.
